Briefly about festival

What is "Queerfest"?

This is an annual international festival about people's rights, identities, gender and sexuality.

The festival unites a great variety of events: photo exhibitions, discussions, film screenings, master classes, excursions and concerts. The idea of the festival and events was supported by actors Ian McKelan and Stephen Fry, journalists Vladimir Pozner and Artemy Troitsky, writer Linor Goralik, musicians Lena Katina (“t. A.T.u” music band), Marina Cherkunova (“Total” band), Jay-Jay Johansson, Alexander Bard and «Army of lovers», Boris Dittrich (Human Rights Watch).

Queerfest-2020

The 12th "Queerfest" will be held under the slogan "More than it seems" from 8th to 18th October this year. We suggest to talk about how we can see our powers when it seems that everything assures us weakness. Keeping our eyes open to our vulnerabilities and experiences of discrimination, we offer you to see our powers. This is interesting. This is not scary. This inspires and makes us even stronger.

Program highlights

This year's festival will feature the concert of Manija (a musician, independent artist and philanthropist) and an exhibition by photographer Alvaro Laiz.
